She had never seen anything like it before! A wise old owl explained himself as Merlin, and the other animals were a playful squirrel named Hazel, a brave rabbit called Buck, and a grumpy but lovable badger called Bartholomew. Poppy learned that these animals could converse because of a magical incantation.
They explained that they needed Poppy's help to find a lost treasure hidden somewhere in the forest. It was a powerful artifact that might restore balance to their world. Poppy, eager for an adventure and determined to help her new friends, accepted.

Once upon a time, there was a little Gingerbread Person who remained in an old Pink Butterfly house. One day, the Gingerbread Man baked himself a delicious treat. But he became so thirsty that he wanted to try the meal all by himself. He jumped out of the house and into the woods. He flew as fast as his short legs could carry him!
The animals in the forest saw the Gingerbread Person and attempted to catch him. A wolf said, “Halt little Gingerbread Man, I’m going to catch you!” The Man of Gingerbread said “Not by the hair on my chinny chin chin|No way, Jose|You’ll never catch me!” He ran even faster than before.
